You said you were scared, but I don’t believe you.
You said we can’t do it, But never told me why.
What’s on your mind this evening? Who are you thinking about? Who do you care about now? Who cares about you?
I said it could work, but you Didn’t believe me.
I said you’ll be happy, but You can’t trust my word.
When have I lied to you, dear? Why won’t you listen to my brain? Why, after so much turmoil, can’t You recognize that I care?

Some People Are Worth Waiting For
You said you were scared, but
I don’t believe you.
You said we can’t do it,
But never told me why.
What’s on your mind this evening?
Who are you thinking about?
Who do you care about now?
Who cares about you?
I said it could work, but you
Didn’t believe me.
I said you’ll be happy, but
You can’t trust my word.
When have I lied to you, dear?
Why won’t you listen to my brain?
Why, after so much turmoil, can’t
You recognize that I care?
